Terms of service for Fireside Hypnotherapy

I am delighted to welcome you to my practice. Whether we are working together through hypnotherapy or reflexology, my primary goal is to create a welcoming, professional, and entirely safe space for your healing and personal growth.

These Terms and Conditions are designed to ensure your physical and emotional safety, establish clear professional boundaries, and outline our mutual responsibilities.

A successful therapeutic outcome is a collaborative journey; it relies as much on your active commitment and openness to the process as it does on my professional expertise.

Our services and professional standards


Professional Standards & Scope of Practice.

As a registered practitioner, I am an accredited member of the NCH (National Council Hypnotherapy) and SFTA, adhering strictly to their professional and ethical codes of conduct. I am fully insured to provide hypnotherapy (in person and online) and reflexology (in person only).

Please note that both hypnotherapy and reflexology are complementary talking and touch therapies.

I am not medically trained and do not diagnose or treat medical conditions.

Success depends heavily on your active commitment, as therapy is a collaborative process and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. 

Medical Screening & Reflexology Contraindications
Clients must complete a full health intake form before their first session.

  • Total Contraindications: Reflexology treatments cannot be performed if you have a fever, an infectious disease, or are under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. 
  • Local Contraindications: Treatment will be deferred if you have open wounds, fractures, severe swelling, or contagious skin conditions (e.g., severe athlete's foot) on the feet or ankles. 
  • GP Consent Required: Prior medical clearance or written GP consent is required if you are in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy, have a history of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or blood clots, have unstable heart conditions, or are undergoing active cancer treatment. 
  • Duty to Disclose: You must immediately disclose any updates to your medical history, health conditions, or prescription medications before every session.


 

Session guidelines and appointments

To begin your hypnotherapy journey, please enquire to book your session.

For in-person sessions, please arrive on time and refrain from consuming alcohol or non-prescribed recreational drugs prior to your appointment.

For online sessions, please ensure you have a stable internet connection and a private, comfortable space.

Each session costs £70, payable at the time of booking to secure your appointment.

We kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations or rescheduling to avoid cancellation fees.

Late arrivals will shorten session times, and fees will not be reduced.

Refunds: Pre-paid session block packages are non-refundable and expire after six months.

Client commitment and expectations

 

Confidentiality and UK GDPR ExceptionsPrivacy:

All session material and health intake records remain strictly confidential under UK GDPR guidelines.Safety Exceptions: Confidentiality will be broken if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others.

Legal Duty: Disclosures may be made if required by law or a court order.Supervision: Anonymised cases may be discussed with an approved supervisor for professional development.

Online Session Technical Requirements (Hypnotherapy Only)

Environment: Clients must ensure a private, quiet space free from interruptions.A stable internet connection, functional webcam, and audio are required.

Disconnections: If video drops, I will immediately attempt to reconnect to you via phone.

Emergency Contact: Clients must provide a physical location address and local emergency contact prior to the session.
